The Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) announced today that HCA Healthcare CEO Sam Hazen will be the organization’s Chair of the Board of Directors for the 2027 calendar year. The Chair, Officers, and Members of the Board of Directors were elected at the Annual Membership and Business Meeting of the FAH Public Policy and Board of Governors meeting, held this week in Washington, D.C. The Board of Directors comprises the Chief Executive Officers of FAH member companies.

His experience, vision and commitment to the patients and communities hospitals serve will be tremendous assets to FAH as we strengthen our voice in Washington and advance an ambitious agenda for taxpaying hospitals. I look forward to working closely with Sam to build on FAH’s strong foundation and ensure our industry has a leading voice in shaping the policies that will define its future,” said Charlene MacDonald, FAH President and CEO.
