Washington, D.C. (January 8, 2025) – Today, the Federation of American Hospitals released the following statement calling for Congress to continue working towards a bipartisan, bicameral extension of the tax credits after the House approved a three-year extension of the health care tax credits.
“With the tax credits expired, millions of hardworking Americans are now priced out of health coverage and need Congress to act. We appreciate the pragmatic lawmakers in the House who listened to their constituents and moved this issue forward today, but the job isn’t done. Real relief requires a bipartisan solution that extends the tax credits, lowers Americans’ health care costs, and can be signed into law.” – Charlene MacDonald, President and CEO of the Federation of American Hospitals
