FAH President and CEO Chip Kahn issued the following statement after the release of the Protecting Medicare and American Farmers from Sequester Cuts Act:

“COVID-19 hospitalizations are not abating in many parts of the nation and a new variant is on our doorsteps – it is no time to cut Medicare funding for the frontlines. It is gratifying that Congress is stepping up and advancing a bill to mitigate scheduled Medicare cuts.

“We urge lawmakers in both the House and Senate to put patients first by passing this vital legislation. This will mean hospitals and clinicians have the resources necessary to care for those in need.”
