Today, in a Paper Reduction Act comment letter to CMS on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) Review Choice Demonstration (RCD), the FAH urged CMS to end the demonstration that requires 100% claim review of IRF claim in Alabama and Pennsylvania.  The FAH letter highlights that the excessive costs of completing 100% claim review for all IRF care far outweigh the perceived benefits of the program, which has found no occurrences of fraud and has very high claim affirmation rates across all providers in both Alabama and Pennsylvania.
