Today, FAH sent a letter expressing support for the nomination and confirmation of Melanie Anne Egorin, Ph.D. to serve as the next Assistant Secretary for Legislation (ASL) at HHS.
FAH CEO Chip Kahn wrote,” Dr. Egorin is particularly qualified to serve as HHS Assistant Secretary for Legislation. She has worked on Capitol Hill and in the federal government for over 15 years and in health policy for over 25 years. Her experience combines a deep knowledge of federal health programs and she has a well-deserved reputation for her bipartisan spirit. Her expertise, experience, and goodwill will enable her to foster strong working relationships and communications between the Department of HHS and Congress.
