FAH Strengthens Public Affairs Team with Experienced Communications, Government Relations Hires 

Washington, D.C. – The Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) is pleased to announce the addition of Hannah Hurley, Vice President of Communications, and Geoff Werth, Vice President of Government Relations. Geoff Werth joined the Federation on July 29 and Hannah Hurley will join on August 26. 

“We are fortunate to welcome Hannah and Geoff to the Federation as accomplished professionals with track records of success on Capitol Hill,” FAH President and CEO Chip Kahn said. “Both bring a wealth of experience and expertise that will strengthen our efforts on behalf of the Americans we serve. Their contributions will be particularly mission critical during this election and in the always eventful first year of a new Administration and Congress.” 

Hannah Hurley joins FAH with over a decade of political communications experience, working for high-profile lawmakers and political campaigns. Most recently, Hannah served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications for Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ). As a senior advisor to the senator, Hannah led communications strategy for several historic legislative accomplishments. Prior to that, Hannah served as Press Secretary for Senate Majority PAC in the 2018 election cycle, held various communications roles in the office of former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), and began her career working for Morning Joe on MSNBC. 

Geoff Werth brings over 20 years of health care policy experience to FAH, having held senior policy positions both on and off Capitol Hill. Previously, Geoff worked in multi-client consulting for national physician groups, hospitals, patient groups, and Fortune 500 companies, as well as directly with Congress on behalf of a major hospital system throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Geoff also worked for over seven years on Capitol Hill as a policy advisor to former House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt (D-MO) and as a senior advisor to Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI).
