FAH President and CEO Chip Kahn released the following statement urging health care workers to get the COVID-19 vaccine:

“The Federation of American Hospitals joins the calls from hospital and providers groups to urge and encourage all health care workers to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Though nearly 60% of Americans have been vaccinated, COVID-19 cases continue to rise throughout the country due to the multiple variants and lack of herd immunity. Health care workers need to protect themselves, their patients, their communities and their families. Frontline caregivers serve their communities by getting vaccinated. Vaccines and appropriate mask-wearing are vital to ending this pandemic.”
