The Federation of American Hospitals chose a new Board of Directors and a Chairman-elect on Tuesday.

The board is made up of leaders from FAH’s twelve member companies.

“This is an exciting day for the Federation. The health care field is constantly evolving and having these CEO’s contribute their expertise and deep understanding of our industry will only enhance our organization’s ability to effectively answer the challenges facing us now and into the future,” said Chip Kahn, President and CEO of FAH.

Chairman-elect Milton Johnson, chairman and CEO of HCA, added, “It is an honor to be chosen to lead the FAH board. This group’s leadership and institutional knowledge is what has made FAH a unique and effective advocate for investor owned hospitals during the past 50 years. We will continue to expand on that legacy by keeping this organization engaged on key issues and staying in front of future changes to our nation’s health care delivery system, while remaining focused on what matters most: putting patients first.”
