Geoff Werth

Vice President, Government Relations

For over two decades, Geoff has worked both on and off Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., successfully engaging Congress and federal agencies on behalf of hospital systems, provider associations, biopharmaceutical companies, and health care companies.

His political experience includes over seven years on Capitol Hill, working as a policy advisor to U.S. House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt during the passage of the Sarbanes-Oxley Corporate Whistleblower Protection Law, and to Representative Bart Stupak on the Energy and Commerce Committee during the passage of the Medicare Part C and D programs. Geoff also worked as a field director for the 1998 Tammy Baldwin for House of Representatives Campaign, as a press aide for the 2000 Al Gore Democratic Convention, and as a staffer for surrogates in Missouri for the 2008 Obama Presidential Campaign.

Geoff’s decades of work off the Hill have included successful government relations efforts for the American College of Surgeons, McKesson Specialty Health / The US Oncology Network, and Harmony Biosciences. In addition, he served as a senior multi-client consultant for major hospital systems, provider associations, national insurers, biopharmaceutical companies, and health care foundations.  Geoff began his career working in the laboratory at the University of Chicago Hospital and in research and development at Abbott Laboratories.

Geoff lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife, Amanda, and their teenagers, Felix and Genevieve. He enjoys traveling, visiting interesting restaurants with his foodie family, coaching baseball and softball, listening to indie rock, reading and discussing the book Sapiens, watching every KU Jayhawks basketball game, and playing as much tennis as possible.

Geoff has earned a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology from the University of Kansas.
