GPO Breakout Sessions

In conjunction with the 2017 FAH Public Policy Conference and Business Exposition, the Federation of American Hospitals is providing a valuable business opportunity for each registered supplier company representative. The GPO Breakout Sessions are designed to provide a learning opportunity for suppliers at no additional cost. Suppliers will have the opportunity to attend three GPO Breakout Sessions. Suppliers visit the buyers in their service centers ("booths") on the exhibit hall floor in an informal setting that lends itself to an exchange of ideas and opportunities among current and potential business partners. Don’t miss this business development opportunity!

The annual Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) Public Policy Conference and Business Exposition is widely regarded as one of the health industry’s finest health policy forums.

AWARD DESCRIPTION:
The Federation of American Hospitals established this award to honor the late Corris Boyd, whose vision of building a better way to live and work through leadership and diversity was embodied in the many accomplishments for which he is known. The Corris Boyd Leadership Award honors an individual or company that has made an outstanding contribution in fostering leadership, partnering and mentoring in the healthcare industry.

ABOUT CORRIS BOYD:
Before his untimely death from leukemia in December 2005, Corris Boyd worked with HCA and Triad Hospitals, Inc. Corris also served on the Federation of American Hospitals’ Exposition Advisory Committee for many years and was a former chairman of the committee. Corris Boyd committed his life to diversity and excellence in healthcare. He believed that leadership development is crucial to success and was devoted to the success of minority, women and small veteran (veteran, disabled veteran, service-disabled veteran) business enterprises (MWVBEs).

ELIGIBILITY:
Consideration will be given to candidates who have successfully demonstrated leadership in education, policy development, and creating or leading organizational change. NOMINATION PROCEDURE:
Nominations for the 2017 Corris Boyd Leadership Award will open in Fall 2016.

SELECTION PROCESS:
The FAH Exposition Advisory Committee has established the criteria for this award and a selection committee will vote by secret ballot to determine the award recipient.
