Sean Brown

Vice President, Public Affairs and Digital Strategy

As the Vice President, Public Affairs and Digital Strategy, Sean is responsible for overseeing communications strategy for the FAH. Responsibilities include: creating media plans, development of press relations, website content, writing public statements and FAH’s digital footprint.

He also produces FAH’s successful bi-monthly podcast Hospitals In Focus. Hosted by FAH President and CEO Chip Kahn each episode features conversations with influential and innovative leaders from across the health care industry.

Sean is a veteran of Capitol Hill, where he has gained a reputation as a hardworking communicator. As a former reporter, he brings invaluable media experience and a strong understanding of the key issues driving coverage of the health care industry.

Before joining FAH, Sean served as the Communications Director for Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX) for more than seven years. While there, he was responsible for creating, implementing, and executing all aspects of Rep. Barton’s media strategy. Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Sean spent 10 years working as a television reporter in Arkansas and Florida.

Sean is a native Texan who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Communication from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and his Masters in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
